Life Journey & Mission
Childhood
I was born in a small village named Jatusana in District Rewari of Haryana, India. My father was a pharmacist in the government dispensary and mother was a homemaker. State of living in our village was so simple that my mother had to stand in a queue for 30 minutes or more everyday at the public water pump to get two buckets of drinking water for our family.
When I was 6 years old, I was sent to the local government school where classes were conducted under the trees. As father got transferred to another town named Kalanaur, we all moved there. The same year, my father was diagnosed with cancer. For the next two years, my mother went from one hospital to another in Rohtak and Delhi in the hope of saving his life. Since parents were away, my brother and I stayed with different relatives.
Teenage
My mother got a job in a city called Sirsa and we all then moved there. Next few years were amazing as I learnt to manage my school along with house responsibilities. My father wanted to be a doctor but he was forced to become a pharmacist because his family did not have enough money to pay for his fees. So becoming a doctor was an unfinished family dream that I was supposed to fulfill. I tried but missed by a small margin.
Higher Education
I was almost there in the medical college for becoming a doctor but shifted from Science to Commerce and completed my B.Com. from our local college. MBA was a big craze those days and I also decided to join the race. My best friend Rohit’s elder brother strongly advised me to do MBA only from a top 20 college only and arranged for my CAT exam preparation in Delhi. I was a Hindi Medium Student throughout and now I had two challenges – to prepare for CAT and to work on my English. But this was my only option and I had to do it. I prepared well and got into T.A.Pai Management Institute, Manipal, ranked among top 20 business schools in India.
Entry to that college was difficult but surviving those 2 years was even more difficult. I did not know computers, had never done a presentation, was bad at spoken English and had zero confidence during communication. So I did what every other student did and then did a lot extra. Every night it took me double time than the average student to complete the assignments. Many times I doubted if I would complete this degree but then I remembered that I had come there on an education loan and I had no choice but to go back with good grades and good job. After first year, I was probably the only person who did not get a summer placement on campus. No company was ready to take me to work for free. But with every rejection I worked harder and was finally among one of the first students to get a job.
Job
Entrepreneurship
May 2006, one stranger came to my office to convince me to start a part-time business. He kept trying for next 13 months and I kept saying No. I liked his proposal but was scared to jeopardize my high paying job for something that I had never done before. I had done MBA, I was one of the fastest growing managers in my company and I was earning more salary than I could spend and could not find any reason to risk all this for an uncertain business.
June 2007, I accidently attended one direct selling event and decided to start it part-time with my job. I had never done a business before and made lot of mistakes in the beginning. But I always believe that everything is difficult before it is easy and if we are willing to learn and practice, we can easily do anything. I devoted every single minute after my office hours to building my business and after 3 months, decided to resign my job and took up full time entrepreneurship on 30th Sep 2007.
I was excellent in sales and got good results from my meetings but I had no idea about team management and business systems. So my business crashed to zero. Not only I had resigned my job but also I had made my wife and brother also resign their jobs. We took loan from every possible source and somehow survived that year in the hope that one day this business will take off for us. Many times we felt like quitting, all our friends and relatives advised us to go back to jobs but there was one small voice inside me that used to tell me that if so many people can be successful in this business why can’t I. I learnt and did modifications with every failure and created a powerful Training and Working system for my team.
My business took off in a big way and we created new records of performance. January 2009, I was able to set up my business in auto-mode. I was successful way beyond my expectations and purchased my first Mercedes Benz car in 2009. Next few years we supported our team through best business tools and business automation systems. This gave me lot of time to travel the world and get best trainings from world’s best leaders and trainers.
My Own Training
It was a Sales Training by Shiv Khera and after that I have learnt live from many legends like Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, Robert Kiyosaki, Jack Canfield, John Grinder, Carmen, Michael Carroll and many more in the USA, Europe, Singapore, Thailand and India. I believe training must continue till our last breathe. Training gives us the highest return on our investment and I have invested more than Rs. 50 Lakh on my own trainings in last few years. Even nowadays I devote 30-60 days every year for my own training.
In this quest, someone told me to learn NLP and I did my first practitioner program in India in April 2015 and attended extensive trainings of 7-9 days every 3 months. Then I did many other advanced courses for NLP in India & Thailand. In 2019, I got certified my International NLP certificated from the co-founder of NLP, Mr. John Grinder. All my 8 years of NLP training and practice combined with 2 decades of experience helps me bring out instant results and lasting transformations from every event and corporate training.
I have been meditating since my school days. I was introduced to an Osho camp way back in 1995 and it never stopped after that. I have explored many different forms of mediations from several different organizations in India and abroad and after decades of exploration, I have developed my own style of meditation that I have been doing twice a day.
I have never played any professional sports but have always been doing some or the other form of exercising. I have run marathons, worked out at gyms, have done aerobics, HIIT, running, swimming etc. Last 3 years I have been doing yoga regularly and it has totally changed my life.
Author & Content Creator
While building a team of lakhs of people in my direct selling career, I realized all human beings have got seeds of greatness inside them. All they need is the right ignition and nourishment to unleash their true potential. This quest of creating tools that can help unlimited number of people, led me to condense all my experience in the form of my first book. It took me 18 months of deep work to create my first book which I self published and released on 10th June 2018.
People loved the book and through recommendations, gradually the book sales started rising and I got the publishing offer from one of the leading publishing houses in India. The book became #1 bestseller on amazon and I started hearing stories of how this book was helping so many people.
I decided to take this book to YouTube and started my YouTube channel in September 2018. I was a camera shy person and was not very active on social media. Purchased some old fashion umbrella lights and started shooting videos in front of white wall in my home. One boy started helping me in editing and uploading the videos and by consistently putting one video after another, we now have 1000 plus videos on two of my YouTube channels. Subsequently I started building my Facebook and Instagram accounts as well and as on January 2023, my videos have got 210 Million Views and growing.
Looking at the huge response of my book, I release my second book in January 2020, third book in October 2021 and fourth one in October 2022. My 4 books are now available in 9 different languages – Hindi, English, Marathi, Malayalam,
Writing books and creating content for my social media community has become an integral part of my life and gives me deepest level of contentment and as long as I can see in the future, I will continue doing it more and better in years and decades to come.
