Although a rewarding career, network marketing is indeed filled with challenges of its own. Despite multiple challenges in this field, it is a known fact that network marketing gives more than what it asks for. In this blog, I’ll tell you about 5 common challenges faced by network marketers along with their solutions which I’ve discovered from my years of experience in the field. Bad market reputation

This is one of the saddest and biggest network marketing challenges that has demotivated many people to join this field. People have a bad perception of this industry and if you are doing network marketing then you can already relate to it. Your closest friends and relatives might taunt you for getting involved in a network marketing business and that can break your self-esteem and severely affect your mental health.


Solution: Educate yourself more about this business and know one thing that there are bad practices and fraud people in every industry. No matter what happens, if you have chosen the path of network marketing and are sure about your goals then the best advice I can give you is to not listen to people who do not have a clear idea of this business. Have a positive outlook and prove them wrong with your success.

Entry of everyone and anyone

The biggest advantage of network marketing is that anyone can enter this field and the greatest disadvantage is also the same. I believe this is one of the major reasons why most network marketing businesses fail. Anyone with no expertise and proper background knowledge of this industry enters into network marketing and the quicker they come, the quicker they leave as well. This makes it difficult for their upline to continue their business as now they have to recruit new people and train them again.


Solution: Network marketing should only be done by people who are passionate and have an open mindset. Additionally, the primary focus of an upline should be on selling the product, rather than adding uninterested members with no knowledge of network marketing to their downline.

Expensive products

Almost a majority of network marketing companies have this problem of selling costly products so that they can pay the distributors and still stay profitable. This challenge makes it difficult to generate sales as not many people are willing to shell out more money for simple products. The problem becomes serious when network marketing firms sell dummy products at expensive rates and loot customers.


Solution: Opt for a company that sells high-quality products at reasonable rates. People are usually attracted to the price of the product so ensure that you offer them products that are value for money. Use the product on yourself for at least a month before you plan to sell it to prospects. If you don’t believe in the product yourself, you will not be able to close any sales.

Fraud companies

Many companies have deceived people in the name of network marketing. This has brought a bad name to this amazing industry. Sadly, most new network marketers fall victim to their pyramid schemes and lose a lot of money, time, and energy.


Solution: The one and only solution is to find a good network marketing company to work with. Do your own research before joining any company and choose the one that has been in the market for at least five or more years with a good reputation and track record. Do not fall prey to false claims made by network marketing companies.

Unrealistic expectations

Most people join network marketing thinking that they will become rich in a few months. Well, this is not the way things work. Network marketing requires a lot of patience and effort for at least a few months if you want to make a decent amount of money.


Solution: A network marketer must upgrade his skills if he or she wants to make a lot of money in this industry. Be a good communicator, listener, and leader if you want to succeed in your network marketing business.
